CTV Northern Ontario: Timmins Highway Fest revival brings fire, music and family gratifying to downtown
A complete lot of people flocked to downtown Timmins for the first block-party-style avenue competitors in a few years.
The Downtown Timmins Enterprise Enchancment House wished to revive the event, as a celebration for surviving a harsh two years and to thank the neighborhood for conserving the downtown afloat.
“We thought there is no increased method to thank the residents of the neighborhood, northeastern Ontario nevertheless to have an enormous avenue event, (with) free, family-friendly events for everybody,” talked about authorities director Cindy Campbell.
“Our methodology of claiming, thanks for the ultimate two years, supporting our downtown and believing in us.”
The three-day event choices performances from Toronto fire performer Bex in Motion, family actions like rock-climbing and a haunted maze, plus musical performances each night time.
Dancers from the native Northern Diamonds Academy of Dance confirmed off their experience for an space viewers for the first time since sooner than the pandemic, with a day pop-up effectivity Wednesday.
The event runs until Friday, occupying Cedar Highway between Algonquin Boulevard and Second Avenue, and Third Avenue between Pine and Balsam streets.
